Caspian Tripp

Caspian Tripp is the human version of my Transformers OC, Castrip. Caspian's story varies depending on the type of universe I put him in, but his personality and general storybeats remain the same as Castrip's.

Early Life

Caspian was born as the oldest child to two, middle-class parents who worked as craftsmen. What that craft is varies depending on the setting, but it's typically related to metalworking. He was a dutiful apprentice, dedicated to learning from his father and very eager to finally be entrusted with "real work" instead of observing and doing chores around the shop. But before he's old enough to take over from his father, he ends up separated from his family and in an unfamiliar land.

He's somewhere in his teens to early 20s when this separation happens. How and why it happens varies, but it is never a willing separation. His homeland may be under siege, leading to his community being destroyed and people taken prisoner. He may be kidnapped and trafficked, or he may be called on for service by leaders of the land. In instances where he's taken from his homeland, he never sees his parents again.

Present Day

No matter how he's separated from his family, Caspian faces a life of violence. Whether he be a conscripted soldier, a slave made gladiator, or any other role requiring a sword and shield, he comes out of it worn and scarred. Somehow though, he always finds his way into a position of leadership, gaining the trust of those above him so he can teach others or care for people and their safety.

Another element always present in his story is sexual trauma and trauma related to having and losing children. In some stories he may be sexually assaulted by people he trusts. In others, he's forced to breed with women to produce children he's never permitted to meet. In the happiest versions of his story, he has a child he does get to know and raise, but much like he was taken from his own parents, his child is either killed or separated from him at a young age. This loss leads to him having a soft spot for children in general, as he longs to be a father and feels guilt for not being able to raise his own children.

While there is no universe in which he's not separated from his parents in his youth, there are stories where he escapes his captors and flees to the countryside where he encounters a community that takes him in. In this type of story, he's able to put his old metalworking skills to use, or in the happiest cases, he takes on manual labor as a farmhand and is essentially adopted as a member of the farm owner's family. He manages the younger farmhand's and becomes a father figure to many of them, fulfilling his desire to leave a satisfying legacy behind in the form of knowledge and love left behind in the memories of other's.

Caspian has a complicated relationship with sex as it can have varying degrees of negative associations depending on the story. Regardless of the specifics of his sexual trauma, some results remain the same. He's developed anorgasmia where reaching orgasm is difficult for him, especially when a partner is involved. He's not entirely closed off to the idea of a partner, but he wants to find love with someone he can trust and knows will be more than happy to adapt to how his trauma has impacted him, both in and out of the bedroom.

In a situation where he had this ideal partner, he'd be a very doting lover. Gentle and patient and deeply affectionate, not rushing through things but savoring each moment. He always has sex with the lights on because he enjoys the visuals, but also because it helps ground him. When he opens his eyes, he needs to be able to see where he is and who he's with to avoid panicking. He also prefers to face his partner during sex, again because he feels it's grounding and the intimacy of it comforts him. While over time he's able to comfortably expand the positions he enjoys, he never gets to the point where he's okay with having the lights off.
